InAble INTROVERT ABLE ← Back

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026 · Effective immediately

Plain-English summary: InAble helps you navigate social situations. To do that, you type or dictate descriptions of your situation to us, and we send that text to Anthropic's AI to generate suggestions. We don't sell your data, we don't store your conversations, and the mic only ever captures your own voice while you're actively holding a button.

1. Who we are

InAble ("we," "us," "our") is a social coaching tool for introverts, available at inable.app and as a mobile/watch application. For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@inable.app.

2. What data we collect and why

Text you type or dictate
When you use InAble's Coach, Prep, Debrief, or Decoder features, you describe your social situation in your own words. This text is sent to Anthropic's API to generate suggestions. We transmit it; we do not store it on our servers beyond the duration of your request.

Microphone input
The mic button in InAble captures only your own voice, only while you are actively pressing and holding the button. It does not listen to ambient conversation, does not record other people, and does not run in the background. The captured audio is converted to text locally by your device's speech recognition engine (Web Speech API) and only the resulting text — not audio — is sent to InAble's servers.

Account information (if you create an account)
Email address, used to identify your account and send you product updates if you opt in. We use Supabase to store account credentials securely.

Usage data
We collect anonymised usage metrics (which features are used, error rates, response times) to improve the product. This data cannot be linked back to you as an individual.

IP address
Collected temporarily to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse. Not stored beyond the current session window.

3. How we use your data

We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

4. Third parties who receive your data

Anthropic, PBC
The text of your InAble inputs is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic's usage policies prohibit using API inputs to train models. You can review Anthropic's privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy.

Vercel
Our API proxy runs on Vercel's infrastructure. Request logs are retained per Vercel's standard data retention policies.

Supabase
If you create an account, your account data is stored in Supabase. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

We do not use any advertising networks, social tracking pixels, or data brokers.

5. Data retention

Your conversation inputs are not stored by InAble after a response is delivered. Account data is retained until you delete your account. Anonymised usage metrics are retained for up to 12 months. Rate-limit data (IP-based) resets every 24 hours.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights:

European Economic Area and UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)

Our lawful basis for processing your conversation inputs is contract performance (providing the service you requested). Our basis for anonymised analytics is legitimate interests.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

Voice data captured by the mic button is classified as sensitive personal information under CPRA. It is processed locally on your device and only the text transcript is transmitted. We do not retain audio recordings.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@inable.app. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies and tracking

InAble uses only essential session cookies required to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking pixels, or behavioural analytics cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; this will log you out of your account.

8. Children

InAble is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Your Anthropic API key is stored exclusively in server-side environment variables and is never transmitted to your browser. Account passwords are hashed and salted. We conduct periodic security reviews.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you have an account) or by posting a notice in the app at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Contact

For privacy questions, data requests, or complaints: privacy@inable.app

If you are in the EEA and are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
